Anti-Discrimination Policy for Learners
Purpose: The primary aim of this policy is to cultivate a safe and inclusive learning environment where all participants can thrive. It explicitly prohibits discrimination, harassment, and any inequitable treatment based on various characteristics including race, gender, age, religion, disability, and sexual orientation.
Scope: This policy is applicable to all learners engaged in our courses, whether they are attending in-person sessions or participating online.
Policy Guidelines
- Respect and Dignity: It is imperative that all learners conduct themselves with respect towards their peers, instructors, and staff. Any form of discrimination, harassment, or bullying is strictly prohibited and will lead to consequences.
- Reporting Concerns: We encourage learners to report any incidents of discrimination or harassment they may witness or experience. Reports should be directed to the course instructor or program coordinator, and all concerns will be treated with the utmost confidentiality and addressed in a timely manner.
- Consequences of Policy Violation: Violating this policy may result in disciplinary actions, which could include removal from the course or other appropriate measures.
- Commitment to Inclusivity: Our commitment lies in fostering a welcoming and supportive learning environment that values and respects diverse perspectives.
Acknowledgment of Policy: All learners will be required to acknowledge and agree to this policy during the account creation process in our Learning Management System (LMS). This step is crucial to ensuring that every participant understands the importance of maintaining a respectful and inclusive atmosphere.
